Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Is this the start of a major reorg?

I heard things are just getting started with some big changes on the way. We might be facing major shake-ups in a few departments in the coming months. Has anybody heard anything similar? I wouldn't be shocked if it was true, considering this is Optum, and major reorgs (translated to layoffs) are the tried and tested way to save money when nothing else is working.

It’s def. a crapstorm. Sending clients a letter that basically says we are done with you and we don’t need your business. You don’t make us enough money so we won’t renew your contract so move on and find someone else. It’s disgusting and disrespectful and distasteful. Shame on you Optum. I’ve never seen anything like it to throw business in the trash and push it to competitors.

Check out the Board of Directors. They are running the show. And beyond the few diversity fills, the rest are directly related to the World Economic Forum. That is who is making these decisions. Sir Witty is simply a calculated political placement. He was Why was he knighted by the Queen of England??? What was his connection to healthcare?? And why healthcare in America? He’s not an American Citizen is he?? My understanding is that he doesn’t live in the U.S.A. Dig deeper, my fellow worker bees. This is the underbelly of the system.

Looks like have someone that already got sacked and has nothing better to do than troll the Layoff, stacking up downvotes over VPN or manipulating cookies. They enjoy spewing vitriole and can't handle it when anyone says anything to the contrary. Ever see that Southpark episode "Make Love Mot Warcraft" with that fat guy sitting at the computer? That's this person, but the Southpark episode makes him look way more lean.

Yes you can bet on many changes in the next 50 years. That is the degree of accuracy of this site's contributions.

Hopefully, manager MJ, and a-s. director JS will be booted out. Both are arrogant, sarcastic and demeaning to staff. Neither is very smart or knowledgeable, and definitely not assets to the department.

Case manager are going to be cut. Optum is watching everything your doing and they know your not doing much bc of how f-up the system is. I’m a manger and we’ve been told it’s coming! Don’t be a fool the writing is on the wall! If you choose to overlook the warnings you’ll be the one going down with ship bc eventually it’s going down bc it already been breached m. No matter what higher up’s tell you in town halls it’s all bs and they are coming for you! Now do with that what you want too but don’t say you haven’t been warned. I so wish I could tell my team this but I can’t on Optum systems so alas I posted it here.

The CEO is known throughout his career for trimming down organizations and shipping jobs overseas/offshore to save money. More labor for lower cost. If you look at his work hx (Google is your friend) you'll see it. This was done at the last company he led.
