It's starting

So I've been hearing from a variety of people that their 1:1s with managers are mysteriously getting rescheduled due to "conflict" and other managers are entirely unavailable. Looks like it's starting.

10 Content Managers were laid off, as well as 3 other managers in Content. An email regarding this confirms these positions are being eliminated and/or replaced by CPI.

Historically, non-disruptive members of the Cenforce have been promoted to individual CEO on Thursday before a pay period.

Look for a meeting from your manager that invites you to 'share an important business update.' Moments before the meeting, an HR partner will be added. Your manager will quickly thank you for your service and get off the call, and HR will explain your severance and COBRA benefit package.

Please do not take it personally, as Cengage only employs true disrupters who challenge the status quo. Many are not equipped to change lives by redefining how students learn as we continue to win market share (Hansen, Bleichmar, et al., 2018) within the Ed-Tech vertical.

As has been proven, Cengage Unlimited has been an unmitigated success, and although activations have seen a steady rise in trajectory the decline in print revenue is a temporary setback. Cengage has well-funded revenue streams and open lines of credit available to exceed long-term strategic growth initiatives.

In my past experience, layoffs occur prior to Thursday but are announced on Thursday. You're asked not to discuss your layoff until your manager formally announces it or a company email goes out.

I've heard that Cengage layoffs are often on Thursday. Does that mean you would get an "invite" to that meeting earlier in the week, or would it happen very last minute?
