Can't blame Boeing on this. Old 757 and Delta isn't known for great maintenance. But yeah, it's only a matter of time until a recently delivered Max will make another smoking hole. Or a 787 will do the same for an aging airplane issue well known by engineers during development but buried by leadership at the time.

Well the latest articles I've seen are that the Delta aircraft didn't lose a tire, but lost the nose wheel.

Sure, this was a 757, an older aircraft, and this is most likely a Delta maintenance issue (unless work had been done under a Boeing sustainment contract)... but whether this is Boeing's or Delta's fault, this just does not look good... this just looks awful!
