Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Parlour Trick

Too Much Noise until Share Prices Up !

Don’t see any major changes under Operations and Technology, seems no level removed, may be added more.

Hardly any meaningful changes, so this was all just for stock price lol

O&T lists have been prepared for who they are getting rid of. Expect a flurry by end of March. It's going to happen.

It's ridiculous to see MD's in Layer 6 of the organization in CIO and other areas. At the end of the day the lower layers will suffer the brunt while the higher-ups keep their cushy jobs! CTI is a prime example, absolutely no changes made in that org, outside of folks that were shuffled away to other areas.

My MD lost some (I presume they are gone and not just re-shuffled somewhere else?) but also gained more direct reports than he lost.

I see some folks moved, some gone. Def restructuring.

Exactly what was expected. Mostly reorg, with some layoffs as a result.

CIO has become a bigger mess. That is surprising as I did not think it could get worse. At this time I have 6 MDs up to JF.

I think changes in O&T will come at a later time, assuming they achieve the efficiencies / automation in the next two years. Most of the simplification so far seems to be on the business side - moving out of Munis, reductions in Equities (Prime) etc.

No simplification in O&T, rather complexity e.g in CIO.
