Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

My Boeing manager is narcissistic psychopath. Is this common or the exception at Boeing?

I agree, unfortunately everyone is into trumpism these days.

That's what happens when the intelligence of the population decreases as far as it has...and powerful rich evil people take advantage of this...

And Yes, insurance companies have been adding nuclear exclusions to policies. That's troubling to say the least.

I think both Boeing and the US are circling the toilet drain.

Zero tolerance for insane CEOs trying to put money before life.

But but they said today in a webcast that there is zero tolerance for retaliation.

They would not lie to me would they?

There is a nuclear event coming for sure. Likely the buffoon gave our secrets to Russia.

Yeah, noticed my insurance policy now has a nuclear exclusion too. Glad I am old or I would be concerned.

How Boeing managers decide employees' retention ratings is in the top five unethical issues at Boeing. I have never met the Boeing manager deciding my retention rating. The manager is located 40 miles away from the Building I work in.

I spend every weekend unsure if I'm going to get fired here or not at Boeing St Louis site.
My manager is a very mean-spirited Indvidual who won't think twice before retaliating against someone reporting to them. Supposedly several people have already reported this manager to Ethics but it's hard to believe since this manager's behavior has not changed at all. That sure tells you allot about Boeing Ethics and Code of Conduct everyone including Boeing managers must sign each year. It has been nearly impossible to get out of this manager's group. No Union here in St Louis, so they will try holding up a internal job transfer if they can.
I don't think I've slept properly for months, and I am just trying to survive week-by- week. The Job market is absolutely garbage and I'm trapped here for next 6 to 12 months probably.

Boeing very rarely ever lays off managers.

The managers all get together and give the employees retention ratings and decide who’s being laid off however, no one ever gives managers a retention rating. It’s a good old diverse club that we’re not a member of.

So they never get rid of the bad managers. They just moved them around sometimes to different location, but they never give them a termination slip.

If you’re a female or black, you’re on the fast track to management. Otherwise you need to get an MBA and become very tight with some high-level executive and even then no guarantee you’ll get a management spot.

Given how poorly this company is run I don’t think I’d even want on my résumé I was a manager at Boeing.

Having Bowen on your résumé does not reflect high for your future. At one time you had Bowen on your résumé, and people knew you knew how to build and design an airplane. Now all you know how to do is to create a schedule and beat up a supplier and a meeting. It doesn’t the weight it once it did.

Other companies are waking up to the fact that Boeing does not train their employees and they’re not given an opportunity to do actual design work.

Your managers more likely to have been promoted to a management position because of his gender, or his race then because of any actual expertise he demonstrated.

Yeah, foxy brainwashing has created a rabid society of nutjobs. Happens every generation or so until culled. Can't expect Boeing to be any different. Become self-suffient and prepare for the worst.

They all seem to have some deep insecurities that they tend to project in negative ways on their subordinates.
