I started with a 6 month contract a few months ago. Is my contract at risk of being terminated prematurely?

@3aye+1qHZwXpI Managers, individual contributors, contractors, etc. are all at risk. Everyone is at risk. You may not have been let go last week. However, it doesn't mean you are safe for the next rounds of layoffs this year and over the next two years. Best of luck to everyone.
@3aye+1qHZwXpI Well, sounds like you make more than some of the salaried FT people.
I'm a contractor in OT and making less than 70 bucks an hour, am I at risk, based out of canada
For over a year now, some tech orgs have been reducing on contractors. With project budget cuts, there has been no choice.
Post ID: @3yly+1qHZwXpI Yes. Risk Management is definitely one of the organisations that's SVCKER enough to pay Contractors $200 to $300 per hour! Amongst Citi's infinite problems is that Citi does Not know when or who to pay an obscene amount of money or salary. Citi will pay Contractors $300+ who have at best basic introductory (Not even intermediate) skills) but Not pay FTEs a real salary. Citi is a dysfunctional chaotic circus! Someone posted about a 24 year old with only a Bachelors Degree and obviously only 2 years at most work experience if any at all whom Citi is paying $200k ! They're Not Microsoft-Bill Gates or Apple-Steve Jobs level talent ! There are Doctors and Lawyers who do Not make anywhere near that much money!
Which departments are contractors receiving $300/hr? Any in Risk?
It depends on who you work for. Some contractors have been let go since November. However, we are hiring Accenture contractors for as high as $300+/hr.
Don’t think for one second that contractors can’t be let go, contracts dissolved, cancelled however you want to look at it.
Are the contractor layoffs concentrated in any particular department or are they happening across all departments?
Because I have already laid off most if not all my contractors q4. It's called a business can change its mind and have clauses with agencies at their discretion they can change the terms. If I can't pay you for the work or we climate those jobs then contractors let go. 20k is fte but thousands more in contractors
How can a contractor be let go if they indeed have a contract for a specified time frame?
Where did you read about the 30% contractors drop?
30 percent reduction in contractors coming
All staffing levels are in scope. Not seen or heard any plan for contractors which strangely are omitted from communications thus far. Will be interesting to see if and when EMT/bcg get into that room, does anyone actually see an elephant.
