Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Bulldozer dude,

What if anything are you hearing is going to happen in DeSoto? The place is on thin ice as it is, with the covered up injuries and the low employee engagement score, just curious if you are hearing things in the glass palace that affects Desoto.

It’s been downhill at Desoto since Fisher arrived. Gone are the days of glory when we were building new cars, getting full contracts, and implementing best practices. Now we’re covering up injuries and begging for work. Pray someone buys it and they don’t just close it. I think that’s the only thing keeping things going is the prayer that they might sell it. Otherwise JG would have closed it long ago.

@1ggm-I still think Vena was sent here by CN to tear down UP so that CN can take over and become one large international railroad.

I heard from someone that works at the CPKC that talks are in place for UP to sell off both yards in Denver and either sell the KP and Moffett lines to CPKC or give them the rights.
