That’s total bs btw. You can still get laid off if they had a comp conversation.
If you received your comp number- you are safe for now. It was told if a being laid off- no comp discussion was or to be had.

Sometimes I feel some kids are starting the threads. Obvious answers but still want to ask a question.
Folks being laid off will still get their bonus since they will still be employed by Citi ( at least non working WARN period).
Being told you have a bonus or increase etc does not make you safe ( or unsafe).
Others can advise, but I think that if your boss gave you your bonus number this past week, then you would know for sure at this point that you are NOT getting laid off next week? I am not sure tho.
