Well, at my store, one of our ASMs brought up the cabinet specialist in back, he made it quite clear the position would be gone THIS year. Why would Lowe's pay a bonus to a csa that was once a specialist. I see them saving a ton of money, some of them will leave and be thoroughly insulted... Good riddance.

Actually, I believe the bonus and title are going, at a minimum. Recently, an employee asked about the availability of a cabinet specialist position that's eventy opening up, the merchandising ASM said the position likely will be gone this year. The ASMs know what's coming.

Here’s what’s coming—Everyone store side will either be management or stocking/clerks/MST. We are converting to the self-serve business model without saying that’s what we are doing. Once all sales positions in the stores are eliminated, then average hourly wage can be brought down by only hiring college kids and retirees to fill the stocking/support jobs that will be needed, and ft/pt ratio will come down dramatically as benefits will also be greatly reduced. Central quoting will handle all project sales and lead follow-up/management. Store personnel will be task-driven in more of a support role now. Stores will basically turn into fulfillment centers and a self-serve center for walk-in customers. Customers that need service will be directed to either the website or given contact information for IHC/Central Quoting.

New signs went up today in breakroom and on salesfloor, Hiring for Central Selling work from home. Sm--k right in the middle of flooring desk . Pull your head out of the sand Flooring Specialists the writing is literally on the wall.

If this is true, once again Blowes F--ks over 'its "most valuable resource." What absolute garbage this company has become. Once they delete more sales staff, maybe that can hire another 20 mst's per store to move stuff around all da, and another 2000 Indian IT people to add another operating system onto the three they already have.

As a specialist who sells a lot, but also drives the equipment, stocks shelves and tries to do heavy lifting to be a part of the team and not just sit and sell, I’m taking this as a sign to get out. I deserve better treatment. I’ve been threatened with write ups for not getting enough pipeline / credit apps, even though I’ve been meeting my goals. I’m told that my goals are double because of my pay. They have been hiring in specialists where this is their first job and they are making tik tok videos on the clock. This is what new Lowes wants now. God bless

Specialist are not in the 3 year plan for the company . Flooring specialist in my district are going to an all Central Quoting/Selling process. Our training begins in February. We will get the detail only , then Central takes over all the way till the end . No longer dropping in quotes for store to sell. So I ask . Do you think Lowes is going to continue to pay bonus and pay rate for some employee to just get details and stock shelves?

They are going to slowly eliminate full-time employees that are High on the Pay Scale. These eliminations will be through trivial bullsh-t, right ups that will go straight to final. There will be no warnings or initials just final

No surprise, at my store, they NEVER do anything except sit down or parade though the store trying to get their sales off anyone.

About time the bonus was jettisoned.

So basically they are just taking away the title and bonus money and letting them keep the same hourly rate they are being paid. That is what they did in the past with seasonal and plant specialist.
