Thread regarding Ameren Corp. layoffs

Time for layoffs

Ameren stock is performing so poorly that I would sell all of my stock if I wouldn't take such a huge paper loss. The company is directionless and bloated with many of its corporate employees "WFH" If any company needs to cut back it is this one. Ameren needs to follow Dukes lead and start laying off.

Signed disgruntled investor.

Maybe now that the CTO that blew up the IT budget several times over is gone, the company will layoff all of the EVPs, SVPs, VPs, senior directors, directors, senior managers, and managers she brought in to micromanage the department.

Doubt this will help with all of the extra spend because she moved absolutely everything to the cloud though. Some of that should’ve been kept on premise. The cost-benefit analysis showed that on several of her boondoggle projects.

Is this true? Who wrote the above comment? I was at Ameren, the efficiency did not suffer at all, but got even better with modern technology that enable you to work remotely. The one who wrote the comment must still lives in last century.

Apparently there is a hiring freeze at Ameren, hopefully it is just a prelude to cuts. The stock is in the tank and the company is directionless, resorting to talking about building a natural gas plant.

The corporate office is mainly "WFH" so you know that there are huge inefficiencies there. The main office has never been overly engaged when they did show up, half of them don't even know what the company really does.
