From people who haven't been affected I hear that managers are already jumping on calls with their team saying that they didn't know anything and that they only found out when emails were sent earlier today. In the same time they have kept repeating the same propaganda as the last couple of quarters, i.e. our work as an organization over the last year didn't bring us where we wanted to be, the excess needs to be removed but there are signals that we are back to winning and of course that if you have feedback to share to reach out.
2 points on the above:
1- It's not OUR work as an organization that is not bringing us where we wanted to be as we hardly have the chance to question the scope of our teams. Everything we do is being decided by leadership so when they say "our work" as employees they should actually say "their work" as leaders is not bringing us where they wanted to be;
2- To leaders who might be reading this and are honestly seeking feedback. I'm sure if you browse around the platform there's more than enough feedback for you to think about. Sadly enough this never comes up during All Hands Meetings but simply because of fear of retaliation which is a real thing in this company.
