Was anyone able to negotiate anything in the last layoffs?

A year ago didn’t they pay people for all of January before severance officially kicked in? So that in reality you got another paycheck tacked on? Maybe that was just one person’s agreement I know about. Bonus eligible employees still got their bonus too (at least in my dept).

If you’re X years and 11 months I imagine you’ll get at least one week pay for that 11th month.

Severance was 2 weeks pay for every year at Nielsen, which caps at 26 weeks...unless you make over $200K, in which case the cap is 52 weeks.

Nope, and I tried. They won’t negotiate.

There is no negotiation. You can either sign documentation accepting the severance package or you can reject the company’s offer and hire a lawyer.

I tried to, but had no luck. I know of one other person who tried as well, but had no luck.
