Two weeks ago about fourteen of us in inside sales were told that they’re eliminating the account manager role. I am curious if anyone not in inside sales is being laid off whether it’s an associate or manager position. TU must be down bad if they’re now eliminating revenue driving sales positions, never in my wildest would I have thought this would happen.

I'm surprised sales are getting hit in this layoff as well. A lot of the sales support and sales enablement teams were let go; if they're also cutting sellers, makes me wonder how they're going to stabilize or grow. So much institutional knowledge going out the door. Not the TU I joined 8 years ago.
You people are ridiculous. Don’t disparage all sales people. Some of us work hard and take our jobs seriously. 30 years in sales here at TU and I don’t think I EVER played golf. I took clients to dinner, but I also missed vacations for calls and launches, never quit at 5 and traveled weekly. So quit pointing at sales. If we don’t sell, you don’t eat.
Who will handle the accounts? Agents in Costa Rica.
Any associate that is happy or wishes another group of people to be laid off is quite the sc-m bag. Maybe there is a reason that it was easy to lay you off because you’re a bitter person and not that good at your job.
The sales people that were let go had valuable knowledge. Those on the golf course don’t have half as much knowledge about products and processes.
Finally. The news I have been waiting for layoffs with Sales. Keep me posted. Use AI for sales. Sales goes on yearly retreats, work from bars golf courses, vacation trips. Ha.

When is your last day? No sales conference for these people? No bonus payout? Wasn’t there an announcement that you had to be employed on Feb 1, 2024 in order to get 2023 payout?
I’m wonder who will be handling all the accounts if there are no account managers
