- Loyalty is not rewarded, you're paid to do a job
- YOU are replaceable
- Your employer seldom remembers sacrifices you made or family events you missed
- Your best interests are rarely the priorities of your employer or HR
- Do what's best for you, don't wait for an employer to value you

Duh. WD isn't perfect, but you can't criticize it for these things - they're true everywhere. Now can we move on with valid criticisms like the ELT and BoD?
Western Digital is retroactive. They general only offer substantial promotions or raises if you call their bluff and find another job offer. They never make adjustments correctly based on talent. You come in low, you climb slow if at all. Alternatively, brown nose your way up.
This is true at any company. No argument from me.
