With use merging together, what are the thoughts about petitioning for a union vote? There are many that have never worked for a union and have only heard what they want you to hear. You believe HR is only there to protect the company? Unionize! You believe the company does not listen or is there to serve its employees? Unionize! You can restore the power back to the people and hold these leaders responsible and work towards a pension in the process. You don’t have to rely on a companies stock that has already went bankrupt once while telling its employees that the analyst just didn’t understand our business model.

A union would be a great defense against the narcissist leaders and their boot lickers who like to get rid of any threat to their fantasy fiefdoms.
We can reach out to the local news station to get a story. I have a few contacts there that I know would be interested in covering this. Especially being an O&G company in OKC. We need to establish a spokesperson to lead this effort though.
If they took action against us for trying to Unionize, they would immediately be sued because that is a protected activity. If there is enough interest we could get a rep to come in and get a petition started and we could vote. There is no short list in this company to justify unionizing!
They would liquidate 100% of the staff if they tried to unionize. CHK is heartless when it comes to seeing the employees as actual humans. Employees are just employee ID numbers that are tasked with churning out widgets. Once the board overlords say to cut G&A, they cut staff with ruthless efficiency. They have already laid or spun off 15-20k employees over the last decade so a few more is light work at this point.
