Thread regarding Qlik Technologies Inc. layoffs

More layoff's after SKO expected

Qlik Management is wasting tons of money on Sales Kick Off (SKO) wk of Jan 8, 2024 and have extended invites to some of their so called “Special Employees” aka Brown Nosers who do whatever it takes to be in the good books of Losers in Management. Recently several hard-working and high performing employees were informed that they will not be getting any raises this year & next, as they make too much money supposedly and that Qlik is in cost containment mode.

If Management continues to waste money on SKO and also takes its “Special Employees” to Club on expensive vacations, ofcourse there won’t be much left for raises, especially for some High Performing employees. Qlik Management is so naïve and stupid as most High Performing employees will soon exit the company and will likely also take some of their colleagues along!

Why would anyone stay for no raise, especially in these harsh economic times? I’m sure Qlik Management is still getting good raises and bonuses for doing little to no work and they are certainly not adding much value to grow the company. With inept management, declining revenues, fast exiting customers and unhappy employees, this party will end soon with more layoff’s on the way! FYI - Qlik has an overall rating of 3.6 out of 5, based on over 1,000 reviews left anonymously by employees.

Top employees do get raises. You just aren’t a top employee.

It once was a genuinely brilliant company to work for. Probably the best I have had in my career.

All went out of the door with TB from 2016-ish and became an increasingly non Swedish he-l hole.

By the time I had left (late 2019) upper management was just a bunch of unethical, self serving a--holes.

It brings me no pleasure hearing what it is today and I feel for the folks who haven't been able to leave of their own accord, but none of it surprises me.

Glassdoor

Don’t ever work here

Territory Account Manager
Former Employee, more than 3 years
King of Prussia, PA

Pros
Can’t think of any good reasons to sacrifice your values, your autonomy, and your soul to work here

Cons
Insane micro management culture, Quotas and goalposts always changing to benefit the company, doesn’t value employee work or feedback, zero trust in management or their vision. Pay that is 30% less than comparable roles with comparable companies. Support teams being decimated by layoffs, little to no product dev in years, tech is difficult for clients to implement and time to value is terrible.

Advice to Management
Retire.

I left Qlik a few years back and the company was poorly managed even then. I hear the Thoma Bravo takeover and the recent Talend merger has been poorly handled and executed. So glad I left this toxic company where my career was going nowhere. I now work at a Company that values its employees and Management has an open-door policy where employees are encouraged to discuss their issues and ideas with the extended team. There are many other good employers looking for great resources that will help grow a company, so don’t sell yourself short and stay at Qlik especially if you are unhappy. There is much better life outside of Qlik and I’m a great example of it!

When I left Qlik around 4 years ago it had rating 3.3 in Glassdoor. Basically, Qlik is very poorly managed and executed company.
