Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Airbus is now 2/3s of Duopoly...Boeing considered incompetent and fading fast!

Boeing is in a sad state and has done nothing to change course. Still lying to their customers about airplanes that will never get certified and delivered. Still all BS talk and zero action to improve engineering and manufacturing capability, quality and safety. Just an increasingly sad state...

No, it wasn't the merger. It was the clueless nepo executives who inherited and led Boeing that enabled the merger to happen. And Boeing continues to be led by clueless nepo executives whose only objective is to pad their pockets at the expense of everything else. So the root cause of the demise of Boeing is simply inbred d-mb and d-mber.

Imagine if it were possible to completely undo the merger with McDonnell Douglas. Then we wouldn't be forever cursed to be in this situation to begin with. I think I'm going to try to find a job with the FAA instead...

Boeing has a lot of problems...and their problems will just keep getting worse. Wish the FAA would take away all Boeing delegated work and hire competent people to allow FAA to perform 100% of this work to help safeguard the public. But that won'thappen.

The 737 cannot compete with the airbus A320. That competition is ki-ling Boeing.

The biggest mistake CEO has ever made it at Boeing was moving forward with the 737 Max and not a 737 replacement.

Jim McNerney should have never been named CEO.

Left Boeing after the paid holidays to work for Airbus in Hamburg Germany. This may well be my best lifetime decision.

I love the engineering work and experience I am getting. Family loves Hamburg and are learning German fast...French will be next...great experience for the kids. Taxes are higher but you actually get great benefits. Housing is affordable and better. We are looking forward to enjoying and exploring all there is in Europe. Mostly I like having escaped my boring, dead end, faux engineering job at Boeing and the hopelessly incompetent leadership.

People here are civil, polite and intelligent which is a refreshing change from the crazy nutjobs in US looking for another civil war. Airbus is hiring 2000 engineers this year to address their expanding innovative aerospace work. So all is good for foreseeable future and no regrets yet!

Go SpaceX!
Go Airbus!
Go COMAC!
Go Embraer!
Go Lockheed Martin!

COMACs are probably of better quality than Boeings. People always talk trash about Chinese made products, but you get what you pay for. The stuff that falls apart is cheap. The expensive stuff is high quality and is as good as you can get. The C919 costs more than the 737. So you're going to get a better quality plane from COMAC. They're not going to forget to tighten a bolt.

The young competent and nimble are not willing to strike come contact time. They will bend over and take whatever Boeing decides to give them.
