The Severance pay offered is based on full years of completed service as measured from your most recent date of hire, as determined for non-retirement benefits purposes. See the Macy’s Inc. Separation Plan – Reduction in Force document or the Macy’s, Inc. New Jersey Separation Plan – Reduction In Force* document which will be included in your severance packet for the minimum/maximum number of weeks of severance pay offered.

  • Colleagues who are eligible for severance pay under the New Jersey Millville Dallas Airmotive Plant Job Loss Notification Act (N.J.S.A., 34:21-1, et. seq.) (the “NJ Act”) will receive the Macy’s, Inc. New Jersey Separation Plan – Reduction In Force document. The weeks of severance pay offered under the Macy’s, Inc. Separation Plan – Reduction In Force will be reduced by the number of weeks of severance pay received under the NJ Act. For example, the Macy’s, Inc. Separation Plan – Reduction In Force offers four (4) weeks of severance pay. The colleague receives one (1) week of severance pay under the NJ Act. The colleague will be offered three (3) weeks of severance pay under the Macy’s, Inc. New Jersey Separation Plan – Reduction In Force. Colleagues who are not eligible for severance pay under the NJ Act will receive the Macy’s, Inc. Separation Plan – Reduction in Force document.

If you are enrolled in a company-sponsored medical plan, the company will also pay a lump sum equal to the company portion of 3 months of the premium (the “medical premium lump sum pay”).
