There’s no merit or RRP funding for any GL30+ employees, this way they can do layoffs without the severance

I was told our funding pool is half of last year’s so that means we are dividing up a smaller pool. They say it’s because they are preparing for the future. Medicare is our biggest revenue and CMS revised their risk adjusted reimbursement so each patient with chronic conditions are projected to get sicker but their Medicare payment will be reduced. It’s all smoke and mirrors because everyone else is negatively impacted except the Executive leadership team who are incentivized to paint a positive picture to the public and shareholders since a bulk of their compensation are stocks!
What am I missing? I keep seeing OptumRx,Optum,UHC and UHG posting ever increasing net earnings? I’d like to understand because, while the execs may not get raise, the hacking to pieces of the rewards I am trying to give to my team leave some of them more of an insult than reward. I would like to be able to tell them why!
RRP pool is reasonable because so many people fired last year. I am told I should expect about 85% to 90% of last year and I got $34K. Considering the bad year we had, that's pretty decent.
This is partially correct. No merits for 30+ but they will still get RRPs. Do you really think they won’t pay themselves??? Most of the senior leaders are in that pay grade.
They say no merit for 30+ but maybe the RRPs will make up for it? I know some of them bagged bonuses of 20-30k last year so it’s not a measly amount.
Please share names and spill tea!
Reading between the lines here, in the context of some of the other communications, it sure looks like they are trying to get "leaders" to self-terminate and allocating at least part of the projected funds saved towards retaining crucial people at the implementations levels...
Good those people don’t deserve it only paid for an opinion and have no clue at all to the workings below them.
Who would like a list of the names? Big name on IT going can’t wait .
Yes, trying everything they can to get people to leave on their own.
