Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

More layoffs this week( mostly VP level and above)

Seems like there is some Rejig happening at VP/SVP/AVP levels in the delivery business. Got a bunch of emails earlier today. Curious if you are seeing any RIF at lower level in these teams, because we usually don't get broadcast emails for anyone departures below VP level.

Have to believe the CSO is the next to go. This new strategy to be vertical is causing customers to leave in droves and VP of Mid-Market is absolutely horrible- culture here has been completely destroyed and I hope everyone can see the writing on the wall. I’m interviewing now and hope to get an offer with better pay and with a company who cares for their people next week so I can leave on my own terms and not be worried about getting laid off anymore!

Getting let go from Staples or leaving on your own is the best thing to happen to you. Bleeding Staples red is not good for anyone.

Staples knew things were going to change as soon as they were bought out. Must be bringing in their own people.

Of course, the word layoff’s are used so a person can collect a few months compensation. I agree after layoff benefits are used up that is the end of the road…So sad especially for long time employees who have been devoted to their corporate jobs for 20 plus years are now depressed & unable to comprehend a new life…(actually everyone regardless of employment status.) 😕😕

Layoffs started at the field level and a massive restructuring.

Not layoffs.... "Retirements". Too little too late. Staples started at the wrong end when it came to layoffs. It'd be great to see a turnaround. I'm not sure it's possible.
