Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

What is wrong with Citi's obsession with abbreviations...

What does STL mean? And in general, why do everyone at Citi use non-standard abbreviations in casual conversations as if other people should know what they mean? Also, please use NA, there is no such thing as NAM region anywhere else in the corporate world...

NA is frequently thought of as Not Applicable. NAM is North AMerica.

NAM is what it is at Citi. We can’t just decide to make it NA instead when NAM is what it is in all the systems. Just adapt

People can use acronyms if they want to do so. This post is kind of pointless in the grand scheme of things.

Guys if anyone uses acronyms please don’t be rude. Everyone is already going through a rough time.

NA may get confused with “National Association” for Citibank N.A.

STL is the standard abbreviation for St, Louie, we learned that from following baseball...

DEL is short for Delaware, these are not just used in banking. Hope it helps
