Inside sales centers at Staples survive because everyone hired is too unmotivated to actually work a job and this is the easiest gig we can get. We take a paycheck and then do something else that brings us actual joy and can easily suffer two days a week in office and do whatever we want the rest of the week. Staples is not and will not ever compete against what Amazon offers. We have lost that battle and there is no catching up. Ship has sailed people. What we sell you can get anywhere and the company does not value the people that work here. We offer nothing to differentiate. The dsr is not a new concept. We called them micro sites. No one wants to talk about our products nor go to special sites to procure commoditized products you can literally source anywhere cheaper. And our website is an absolute joke. No one wants Staples Brand outside of paper. Let it go.

Amazon is definitely not as cheap as they used to be, their prices are steadily increasing and it’s a cr*p shoot on the quality you get

Staples is like Dunder Mifflin in 2009. Why would I order from you, when i can go to bottom of cost barrel at Amazon.
