FYI I work for an acquired company and we’re being “offered” positions. Two weeks after a major layoff.

I was let go after 7 years of solid work. On call/short staffed/always good marks..I was told resource reduction..but they gave my job to pune india..
I made the comment below about 30 people from our site being cut and that was at the Jeffersonville, Indiana location. Almost 4 years I was there, never late, not on any write ups or corrective actions, I did OT, my quality was always a meets or exceeds, and I knew my sh-t. They said they eliminated my position entirely, yet there's still a whole floor of client support doing the exact same thing I was doing, only getting paid about $4 an hour less since they're newer which is probably why I'm still considered rehirable. Get the same quality agent who already knows what they're doing so training will be easy yet you start all over at new hire pay. Corporate bullsh-t is all it is
I was let go from the Plano office on 1/16 after lunch. Totally blindsided.
Record profits in the company, 150 people given the can. They wonder why we need to work so hard to keep clients when we fire some of the hardest workers because they're being paid more than newcomers.
Texas or Georgia? I was let go from Plano office.
I was let go yesterday after lunch, wouldn't even let me go back to my desk. About 30 people from my site were let go unexpectedly and our positions were eliminated entirely after their end of year financial review, and it was mostly tenured people getting paid more than the new hires they chose to keep
Was this at all levels? What departments?
Yup. I was let go
