When you give a person a way to gain more for playing a shell game with safety or quality it will then become a reason to cheat the system. Smoke and mirrors have to end at all companies. Transparency is vital.
Management bonuses need to be eliminated if they are attached in any way to safety or quality.
Boeing that only wanted to pass on the design and analysis to their suppliers. They also wanted to pass on the incoming part inspections. Anyone who’s working there or space industry for any length of time those what a bad idea that is. But the mba at Boeing only look at how much of a bonus they can squeeze out of the company don’t care about the long-term implications of their policies.
Seems like you first need quality people and quality processes in order to develop and manufacture quality products. And that's even more difficult and true for aerospace products. And Boeing has neither...
Boeing’s idea of quality is no paper trials just fix it and do what you can to get it out the door. Boeing hires right off the streets with no experience to quality inspect there planes. LOL 😂
