Thread regarding CGG Veritas layoffs

No layoffs because people are quitting

I don't know if this is true for the entire company, but it's certainly true for my BU. People are getting fed up with being overworked and not paid enough for all the extra cr-p we're expected to add to our plates so they're walking away. I'm not there yet, but I can see myself doing something like that soon enough.

MC $320. ouch. go woke go broke. can’t blame any company from wanting to escape oil field services. sincerely hope it can still be pulled off. great company culture there.

I cannot see any hopes for CGG going forward. None of the Beyond The Core businesses are showing signs of promise, while we are losing opportunities in the Core business because, guess what, capital is prioritized for BTC. It is very weird time, man! Sercel just had the best year in many years, and its EVP was let go abruptly a couple of weeks ago. Don't know what the upper management of this company is doing...
