Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Fire Mark Mason

  1. ) As an insider, he sells his stock well below TBV and way above today's share price. Then, he states that he backs Jane's reoranization plan.
  1. ) Mason had no clue on Citi losses in Russia. Citi was then placed in the penalty box on its Living Will.
  1. ) Mason had no clue about tier 1 capital requirements to cover derivative trades. Shareholders were penslized as the bank could not buy back its stock below TBV.
  1. ) Mason mislead shateholders at the Goldman Sach's forum on December 6th when he significantly under stated the restructuring vost for 4Q 2023.

The over paid CFO that sells his stock grants below TBV should be fired

it does Not matter if Citi hired someone with Encephalic syndrome as CFO. The fact is CFO Mason misrepresented and LIED about Citi's financial health or rather illness, and Citi's financial position.

Regardless, even if his statements or misstatements are due to incompetency he has a fiduciary duty to Shareholders and potential investors as a C-Suite level employee who is speaking for and on behalf of a publicly traded company, like Citi. The legal language starts with he knew or should have known......... The SEC, OCC, FRB and NASD And European Regulatory Agencies must investigate Mason's and Citi's misrepresentations, LIES, and omissions.

Either he’s incompetent and needs to be let go or he lied in his calculations and its an ethical thing and he needs to be let go.

You know what though, it’ll never happen as it’d be too embarrassing to admit that they hired and gave a record level salary to him.

Somehow its less embarrassing to lay people off, you know due to failure of leadership decisions.

This means CFO Mason violated Securities laws by stating misleading AND untruthful (flat out LIES) information. There are criminal and civil penalties waiting for Mason And Citi. LOL ! Add more expenses to further sink the Citi Titanic. LOL !

Yea he miscalculated. Wayyytt off track. How did the loss almost double from 7 - 8 million to 1.5 billion? I know Argentina’s economy is in the tank but it still doesn’t make sense. Plus we’re not Argentina’s central bank we manage USD not their local currency which has been garbage for years now we should have known this years ago this isn’t new information. As a “top” professional in his field he should have better prepared and known this was coming. I doubt this has to do with Argentina though. I believe they laid off so many people so quickly that severance is now affecting their bottom line.
