It would be correct to conclude no further details until January - the majority of staff are out of office enjoying time off.

Forget the BVI, I’m going to Bora Bora and occupying one of those bungalows over the lagoon. Living well is the best revenge.

Cuts are cuts - they are unpleasant for both sides. I think the thing that makes me angry is the fact that cuts are not going to be proportionally distributed across layers, i.e. cut 10% of a team but also cut 10% of the managers/Ds/MDs - this is deeply unfair.

Citi cut 23,000 workers Jan-Nov 2008.
Citi cut another 53,000 workers after Nov 2008.
Citi cut 11,000 workes in Dec 2012.

We may expect large number of cuts in Jan 2024.

This is wrong. Questions have been asked repeatedly in department wide zooms if anymore layoffs would be communicated between now and the end of the year, and the leaders would not answer the question. Just said they don't know how many or when....which is a lie!

It would be the easiest thing in the world for them to ease their teams stress, but they won't say it. Which means more are coming. Truly a heartless company and heartless, spineless leaders from the top down.
