Thread regarding Omnicell Inc. layoffs

I was a Field Service Engineer before being RIFFED, end of 2023. I am a professional and take great pride in my work. I was busy as heck and covering multiple territories before being let go without any notice. I was On-call 24/7 and even trained a new hire to fill one of the open territories. I loved my job, colleagues and my customers. I knew that it was getting bad when management started to bulk at our administrative time, closing calls, time reporting, sending back parts, email etc. Then they would not pay us OT for weekend service or going out on service calls at night after hours, if our billable hours did not add up to 40hrs at the end of the week. They said that we had to make up the hours if we didn’t have any service calls, even though I was waiting for a call to come in and ready to go. We would not receive additional pay for working on the weekend or nights though I had no control over when a service call would come in, and I would address it as soon as my phone went off. We were not paid anything additional for being on call, except $50 for the entire weekend. I also was not considered when my job was reposted, even though I always had stellar reviews from customers, colleagues and management. I always met or exceeded any expectations and metrics. Not to mention all the money that I lost in the employee stock purchase plan. But, I am way better off now.

Toxic company as the do Riffs every quarter to make their bottom line look better. Don't work for thus company, your mental self will only get worse. No retirement in this company. The company is looking to be sold

Soon to be a penny stock, no leadership, no real direction and more worried about DEI and ESG then doing quality work or producing a quality product. Talent leaving at an unprecedented pace. The only hope for this sinking ship is a takeover by a competent competitor. As the stock drops and employees are riffed the C-Suite keeps loading up on $0 options, to the tune of millions, and they think the employees don't notice.

Truly one of biggest downturns I have experienced. Again in Q1 they are continuing to layoff associates. CEO is on the hot seat.

There are so many replacements lately, I don't know what your post means.

One of the most significant stings is when employees are riffed and then receive a phone call from leftover colleagues asking, "How did you do this?" or "Where can we find this?" Then you tell them and hear these new directors have given themselves kudos, pawning the work you and your riffed team did as their own.

What a mess, and terrible replacements. Message to the replacements: Please, for the love of God, ease up on the ChatGPT. Be genuine for once and for "the other"; stop taking credit for others' ideas and work. You know who you are.

You gave us the exact questions to ask during interviews so you could get your friends hired, and only your friends were given the questions in advance. They got hired, and long-time employees got Riffed.

To the other, you bragged that a C Suite allowed you to make your own title when getting hired; you got tired of defending what you did for the company, so you riffed an employee and took their title.
