Sales Q4 quotas

ok i know everyone here hates sales and especially loathes EUC, but was curious on other euc sellers opinion and/or the legality of this situation.

new hires into EUC are receiving a draw. core sellers outside of EUC are set to be put on draw for 2024 (a rumor, but confirmed from reputable sources).

people that were existing euc sellers have to keep their Q4 quota and are not being put on draw (we also didnt get the option of severance so it was like, ok take this job or be jobless lol su-ks for you). we have not been able to submit net new quotes for approval, get renewal quotes out, or process POs that were signed pre-BC acquisition for almost a month now with no timeline on when we can do our JOBS anytime soon. yet we are still being held to our quotas. this obviously impacts our overall % to attainment and of course commission.

i know this makes me sound like a complete narc, but at what point is this no longer legal? we signed contracts legally stating the revenue we would receive by doing our job and executing, yet we cannot do our job or execute... AND being held to the quota that we will most likely not hit due to our own internal issues. i get this is an acquisition and will be messy but this is ridiculous with empty promises and timelines that keep moving back

Loathes EUC? No, I call BS. Seriously, that is a fabricated sentiment by some within the EUC BU only... frankly, it's the weak ones with an immature understanding of what you have to offer and how to sell it. I still hold my ground that EUC is scratching the surface on what the potential is. The only sad thing now is that I won't get paid on it :(

"The big issue with the existing EUC seller quota is customers are not buying."

Agree that this is a big issue for existing EUC sellers today. Our customers are limiting their VMW exposure until they know more about what comes next for WS1 and Horizon. There is no way that we're going to get anywhere close to our EUC revenue objectives.

EUC since AW days - We want to run our own business and be completely separate and different from anything and everything VMW does.

Also EUC - Waaaahhhhh

The EUC BU has had numerous new challenges since the acquisition, and it seems that Shankar and Rob are no longer making the key decisions - including sales comp.

The big issue with the existing EUC seller quota is customers are not buying. Adding more new sellers to the mix won't change this huge roadblock to revenue goal attainment.

You will be replaced by an algorithm or Ai. Time to find another gig. Hock doesn’t want toxic assets like employees, let alone those that dare question his decisions.

I don't think or care about sales and have only learned about EUC during this acquisition. Certainly not my usual topic of discussion. 🥱

I do not hate sales, nor EUC. Why do you assume EVERYONE has 1 opinion?

Sounds like an unfair situation from what your describe. I think the only way forward is up the chain for hock to make a decision.
