Company now paying for a Houston Rodeo volunteer party

Gee, my manager wouldn't wish me a happy 50th birthday but the company can pay for a huge party. Makes perfect sense - I don't matter.

Yeah, it being a “tax write off” is very flawed rationalization.

Paying higher wages is a “tax write off” so are all benefits, refinery maintenance and basically everything we spend. Is an expense for tax purposes. It is silly to justify this spending as a write off!

The only rodeo I’m in is broke back mountain. They keep bending me over.

Happy 50th Birthday! Some people have no manners and common courtesy is disappearing. Oh, the party they are paying for is a tax write off. So, they either give it to Biden or the community. Hope this helps.

I’ve made comments on this type of waste before. Corporate loves the self aggrandizing posts on LinkedIn, we have SALARIED employees who are essentially tik tok girls, and now we’re paying to have our name on a banner. There is negligible positive impact to our business from this garbage. BUT we’ll offshore competent and experienced employees to India to save a few bucks. Pathetic, and the CFO is still saucy!
