Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Former & Loving IT!

I was at Citrix/CSG for 23 years. I left in May, told to come back from remote or else. I was so very lucky, at the last minute, I found another job. It paid $20K less but I was so happy to be out of that stress hole. I quit that job 3 months after I got it, it was just more corporate bulls**t. Now I work for a non-profit, I make half of what I made at Citrix/CSG, but I have to tell you, it's the best thing I've ever done. Great atmosphere, everyone is there because they want to be there. People care about the people they serve and work with. Money isn't everything! I'm checking in because I have no other way of finding out what's going on with a company I loved until it wasn't that company anymore. I wish all of you the best. Get away from CSG ASAP.

I am checking in to see how things are going and see they are not going well. In response to the reply that I’m from HR and posting so people won’t take a severance package, you are a troll. I would have been fired with nothing to show for my 23 years and as it looks, if I would have moved to Alpharetta, I would have been in even more deep Sh*t, bought a house, and let go so I could not afford the mortgage. There is life after CSG/Citrix. I’m so glad I made the decision not to let TK control my life and cut my ties with CSG.

"Sounds like someone from HR posted this to suggest leaving without a package is a great idea! Would be nuts to leave now…: just wait for your turn. "

TK doesn't care about packages at this point. And, unless you're in Europe, your package is going to be underwhelming.

  • Can verify and confirm! I never realized how toxic the culture had gotten until I left!

I am sticking it out.

I enjoy the side show of TK and the rest of his Tamil Tiger Team as they try to scale up the mostly manual TIBCO processes to service the transaction volume of the company formerly known as Citrix. One blunder after another, it's a bit like the slapstick comedy of Keystone Cops.

(Oops math) Take your (healthy) life expectancy, minus your current age, multiply that by 52. That’s the maximum number of weekends you have left. Now, do you really have any f**s to give? I didn’t think so. There’s so much life beyond a logo.

23 years- that's practically all of your working life probably. Great decisions to make change! Best of luck to you.
