FYI, Morgan Stanley/ETrade claims that the cost basis info was to be provided by Broadcom. They cannot post what Broadcom does not provide.
“ It is high because of the dividend. It'll drop right after it pays.”
Spend north of 1100 to get 5.25? Then dump?
As a long time BC employee, this is the toughest question of all. To sell AVGO or not.
Between now and the predicted fed cut in March probably a good place to take some chips off the table

Sell as much as possible to drive the price down.
“ BC is largely semi for now till VMW actually lends a hand”
So many jokes, so little time………
I’ll sell when it’s high and after
I consult my tax accountant as they’ve costed me thousands due to the stock transfer from taxed VMW shares converting to BC shares as non - US employee. Total rip off for taxing employees twice as they put the stock under “dividend” class. I don’t think BC shares will hike much more considering the overall economy etc in next 1-2 years so I’ll likely buy etf instead
Wait until Hock will announce the layoff of another 20K people and the stock will rise another +40%
not sure what to buy after selling it. the tax this year looks complicated, do not want to make it worse.
plan to hold all at least till middle of next year.
hopefully it will be fine.
I sell everything, buy a few ETFs and some crypto instead. Diversify!
Sold a few at 1100. I don’t think it will hit 1200. But if it does then will sell few more. Just the cream on the top like 10% of my total shares. BC is largely semi for now till VMW actually lends a hand. Semiconductors are cyclical so it will go down a bit till Hock shows real gains. Will go back up again. Also AI hype will die down a bit in next year or two. This is a good place to take the cherry on the top. Beware of cost basis as ETrade has not provided those as yet. Might get hit on taxes.
