STAPLES OR OFFICE DEPOT?

Asking for a friend, who will enter Ch. 11 first?

Staples. A sinking ship that has been steering in the wrong direction for years. How many layoffs can they cycle through until there’s no profit to be found in headcount? Run, run very fast.

Nothing new or innovative that I am seeing. Recycling same old stuff with new people. Guess that keeps it fresh, one bad apple can spoil the bunch and by my count we have an orchard full of bad apples running things.

BCG needs to be laid off. How much do these companies need to pay them to keep recycling the same strategies and moving teams and customers around?

They both have BCG advising them, so it could be either one or both on a short period of time.

Leadership is better at Depot and doesn’t have SP. My vote is Staples is gone before Depot.
