I'm just curious, folks who were let go, do you think the severance provided is fair or do you feel like you should have gotten more?

I’ve decided to move on. The Australia FAQ says people are entitled for severance pay if they choose to decline however there’s no further details provided. Does anyone know what kind of severance package that Australia region would receive? Are people still receive remaining retention bonus (eg accelerated process) if they’ve made redundant? Thanks
In the US.
4 months + 1 week/year. Equity accelerated. Retention bonuses and RSUs accelerated.
While not as good as other countries, not bad.
- 5mm, it’s ok
I'm getting 5 months pay and stock vesting. I don't know if it's fair or not but I'm happy to have the severance and be relaxing and to be out of that mess that I left behind.
UK is 4 weeks per year of service capped at 1 year total
Folks in Ireland getting 6 weeks /year I heard, and the chance to turn down a full time/transition role and STILL take the redundancy.
Stop bleating because you think you were worth more. If you were worth more you wouldnt have been let go.
You must not have gotten laid in a long while. Go f* yourself, bitter person. Lol
Anyone knows what kind of severance package for Australia?
UK statutory minimum is 1 week per year of service AFTER being employed for 2 years.
You saw your contracts, you knew what the severance terms were, and you know your Countries statutory minimums.

One week per year of service in US is peanuts. India and Europe folks are given 1 month + per year of service. Pretty unfair.
Not much can be done. It is what it is.
