To the Ja----s that said mechanical doesn't deserve a job because it's done so fast. Do you realize that we are only allowed 1.3 minutes per car outbound, 1.4 min per car inbound? With two people, that's a little over 40 seconds per car. Not much you gonna see in that time frame except obvious. Bad orders are found inbound, hump damage usually on outbound. And why are they driving so fast? Cuz they got 3 other trains to go to and the clock is ticking. Or a train is having air trouble because the sleepy eyed conductor hurrying to the engine for a nap forgot to cut the angle co-k in after putting their train together.

@bvn-You are absolutely correct. Any changes or reduction of manpower is solely a business decision. We have no control over manpower, we work now as we did before and look at the cuts that happened. When I hear managers say that stuff about productivity or cuts, I just say back to them “If they get rid of us, they’ll get rid of you too. If there is less employees, then they will need less managers”.

Oh nice. And this is how we win to lay off everyone. So let me get this straight, #1 he wants the current employees family to work for this company but gets rid of there family members that have been loyal to this company. #2 you want this company to grow?
