I had my year end conversation last week. My bonus amount is about 30% less than last year. Not sure if it is true but my manager said bonuses have been cut all through Citi (with the exception at top level). Apparently, the managers know the numbers now but were instructed to keep the information about the bonus cuts confidential until the new year.

In my team conversations started yesterday. Bonus numbers will be announced in Jan.
It seems this year the deadline for comp
Conversations is earlier on Jan than normal. So the merit raise /bonus numbers won’t be known before that deadline. Which means managers can’t bundle the conversations together in Jan like usual, so they have to do two. So more are getting it out if the way in Dec.
