There is less visual in the store than ever and they have already realigned some job responsibilities from one of these position to the other this year (signing, pricing, AYS). What do you guys know on what will happen with these roles?

OMG yes, that "Own Your Style" paper is a waste of time and money. And the funny part is, the new paper goes up after Christmas and doesn't change over until August. And then, it's only up for 2 months before it changes again to holiday!
Why not ditch the paper so the visual captain can spend more time and energy on mannequins and windows? I was recently in a G150 door in NJ and half the mannequins were missing hands, none were wearing any shoes, and the clothes were disheveled. A hot mess! Gone are the days of It Lists and trend runways and fun seasonal windows. :(
Not a vm but helped a few times this year.
Seems to be less but doesn't mean the vm still isn't running around like crazy.
The amount of MONEY this backwards company would say on effin WALLPAPER would probably be at last a few million.
Not to mention the HOURS it takes. And to do it 3 or 4x a year? Such a waste of time.
As a visual captain that was a vm I can tell you there most certainly is not more visual than ever...there is more markdowns and signing and trying to fill holes on the floor but definitely not more visual
There's no visual managers.
There are no visual teams.
There is a single visual "captain" per store who is supposed to take care of everything.
They drastically cut back on visual elements this holiday because stores looked like cr-p last year.
Any new holiday collateral was cheap, cr-ppy cardboard cut-outs.
But he says "more visual than ever."
Sure, Jan.
Actually there’s more visual than ever.
Following. Rumor is SMM elimated or changes to CXM. Just a rumor though. Someone let us know ...so can get out...lol. preferably before inventory
