Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

Company is filled with leaders aka clowns who don't know how to talk or ensure team morale

So, there was an all hands meet that happened recently. And this was just a few days after one of our senior member in the team who had been with us for over a decade was laid off just couple of weeks before the holiday season.

Here's what the SVP/head of one of the functions who directly reports to the CEO said, "Don't try to be a hero, just do what we tell you to do."

And here below are Juniper's values that are written all over the company websites and offices.

"Be Bold. Build Trust. Deliver Excellence."

What a joke.

So many true comments! I am still here and was hoping to have my new job lined up before SKO, but alas the hiring process is taking longer than I expected. I feel terrible for my former co-workers who were essentially kicked to curb after just 9 months ago being assured there would be no work force reduction. Funny thing is I see job post (that my current manager sends me and encourages me to post on LinkedIn) for positions that were filled just 6 short months ago by very good people. Guess I am dragging myself to Las Vegas to hear from cowardly leaders that it was 'very hard' to make the decisions to reduce the workforce and how they stand behind the core values. Just for reference I have been 6 years, my sales production 100% each year and the only reason I am still here is I have family I need to support. Maybe they can bring back PO and MJ to complete the destruction of the company.

Yep, they also throw words like "family", "together" a lot and then layoff good people for the "benefit" of the company. Juniper values/statements are nothing but jokes today that had been some meaning when it was written a long time ago. Just like the leadership clowns who have no clue about what they are doing.

I offered up an alternative solution for a situation to the benefit of the company and was told that was the past. Now, we are to do as we are told without question or we can leave or be part of the next round. RR is betting big on Enterprise business and has given marching orders to the new CRO

Simple solution guys, if it is so bad just leave, plenty of hiring companies where your talents would be appreciated

I'm the original poster. No, this was not said by Manoj. While I don't want to be anymore specific even with anonymity, I do hear that this message has been passed out to many different functions. Perhaps this was a common theme agreed upon by the entire CEO staff.

Whatever be the case, Juniper should change their values immediately, because the actions in comparison to the values is hypocritical.

Manoj is an EVP. Only Legal, HR, IT and Corp Dev are SVP directs.

On a team call this week and was told we are doing more with less. I told my manager we are already on a skeleton crew so what does that mean? She said it means no increases in 2024

Sounds like a 3 ring circus where employees are constantly walking the tight rope! Always being told it will be better after the next year...until it isn't really. 2023: Do more with less!

Same meeting where the leader told someone "we'll deal with you in the next WFR" after opening the meeting with comments reflecting how difficult the process had been? I was d-mbfounded.
