Is the rumor really true about Macy's being sold? I really need my job! When will the new owners take over? Will we be locked out and have to reapply for our jobs?

I'm guessing this time they are going to offer the severance package to the employees. Especially the long term full time employees. I remember two years ago the company just wanted only part time employees but later they install the ISM program and that idea didn't work. What's going to happen to Toys R Us, Finish line and Sun Glass Hut? Are they going to terminate there lease contracts?
First off, the stock is dropping like a rock, so it appears that the street/CitiFi doesn't think that it will happen. Second, if it did, these investors don't buy to own/run a company. It's for short term gains. They take what they can out of the company with lease buy backs and selling the real estate, etc., and then close the doors. So yes, if the buyout happened, eventually you'll be looking for another job. But frankly, $21/share probably won't get it done. In my opinion.
