I’d agree with it all but the snarky “jealous we have jobs”. WTH?

So incredibly rude. Firstly I’d rather be free and enjoying my lump sum to where I can search for something non-toxic but more importantly…maybe you’re jealous cause you’re going down with it. Don’t expect a settlement when you do. Ge-z…

I’m genuinely sorry for all people who were laid off but they aren’t laying off anyone else before years end. Everyone just for practicality purposes should be prepared for it but it’s not happening yet, anyone saying that it is, is a troll and/or someone jealous that we have jobs. I wish the best for everyone, sorry that so many people are this hurt to try to scare those of us who will be employed over the holidays

The trolls need to grow up. This company has taken up a Manhattan seized volume of real estate in their brains rent free and it is pathetic, how old are you? 14?

Mine popped onto my calendar the morning of. I was up getting kids ready for school so before 8 am and checked my phone calendar to see what my day looked like and saw the invite. It took me a minute to register. Not trying to scare just provide clarification.

Last time there was a layoff there were a ton of 15 minute meetings scheduled on HR calendars. I’m not seeing that for tomorrow so I’m really curious about this Thursday layoff rumor. Unless it’s happening a different way?

I sure hope so. I got laid off last round, and still no job but lots of stock not worth much atm.

The reality is this company has an insane amount of fat that can be trimmed, and now will be w/a numbers oriented CEO vs what they had in the past. Once that happens they are netting $100M a year the debt will get refinanced and the stock will take off.

The fed chair spoke today and was very dovish. That increases the likelihood of solvency hence the stock rise.

Yo I heard this year’s 2U company meeting is in DC! 🤪 3 days no nights at the DC DOES Office of Unemployment Compensation Office. Just bring a notepad and pencil ✏️ for an exciting job application session.

Oh yeah? Well that's enough pinko! You're through. All of ya'll! Don't let the door hit you on your way out. I am so happy to see 2U let go of all the dead weight, token employees and those lazy "DAY IN THE LIFE OF A 2U EMPLOYEE" people. No more 2 hour lunches and wasting time. Happy Kwanzaa and go straight to JAIL!

Don't worry until Thursday, that's the day they will start letting all you people go. They like to let people go 2 weeks before Christmas. It's a 2U HR thing. I hope you all find something nicer and more stable. Don't worry for 2U, they will be delisted from stock market very soon and will fold.

I actually suggest not worrying about it at all. Updating your resume is just unnecessary stress. Might as well just wait and see how it’ll play out. That’s always the best way to prepare, in my opinion. They don’t really pay us enough to think for ourselves. From my very limited understanding of businesses, company’s need employees to run, and you’re an employee, so you’re probably fine!

"2U appears to be overvalued by 29% at the moment, based on my discounted cash flow valuation. The stock is currently priced at US$1.03 on the market compared to my intrinsic value of $0.80. Not the best news for investors looking to buy! If you like the stock, you may want to keep an eye out for a potential price decline in the future. Given that 2U’s share is fairly volatile (i.e. its price movements are magnified relative to the rest of the market) this could mean the price can sink lower, giving us another chance to buy in the future."

Is it Friday yet? Last I recall someone posted that we would find out 12/15 and today is only 12/12! Besides, if you are one of the ones that haven’t updated their resumes yet because you’re waiting for a Hail Mary, you are in for a rude awakening. It’s only a matter of time before we all get the boot.

First of all YOU are on a site that is dedicated to ….layoffs. Sick people are not trying to scare you. It’s more like Sick and tired people are posting what is pretty obvious by now. Regardless if this will be addressed this year or next, only leadership knows. Don’t be scared, instead start updating your resume and start looking for other opportunities.

Layoffs or otherwise transfers if employment due to a full or partial sale are extremely likely given the fiscal reality. The question is when and how deep. If they are to cut in Q4, it'll likely be this week. Next week would be a really bad look, and a lot of people are on PTO.
