The recent layoffs should be an indication that we are not about to acquire anything. There were several let go last week along with a few more this week.
This place has completely lost its luster and is just a place to draw a check at this point.

Well, I am one of the ones that was let go, and I have to say, it’s the best thing that has happened to me in the 10+ years I worked there. The amount of supervisor incompetence and favoritism had become unreal. Every single day was like having cement strapped to your shoes and trying to run a marathon. Safety was only addressed after something happened or a box needed to be checked to get the quota of vendor engagements needed to make the supervisors look good. $60 million spent on planning and scheduling software, and not one person had any idea what was going on from one day to the next, creating a totally toxic work environment along the way. Out with the old and in with the new you say? Well, I’ll just say “thanks” and enjoy my new lease on life at a much better run organization.
Blowout king, pigeon man, and the buccees chipmunk will be last employees. They have a special relationship to not expose the corruption.
The idea of the lottery is so desirable because you get paid the most with the least effort. Working here is similar. You draw a decent paycheck but through all of the layoffs and divestitures, most of us are here to just draw a check and do as little as possible. I’m not investing any more of my mental health into a company that has proven that you are just a check and can be released at any moment. Especially given where we are financially.
Let go of the old to make room for the new. If you are there to only draw a check and not put any value for the company then you should be let go. If it was your business, you would do the same thing. Any company is in the business of make revenues and profits by growing. They need young people with fresh modern ideas and full of energy.
