Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

How Pathetic

hen Walgreens abruptly ousted then-CEO Rosalind "Roz" Brewer a little over three months ago, she walked away with a golden parachute that allowed her to keep tens of millions in compensation for just 2½ years of work running the troubled pharmacy giant.

The Walgreens board awarded Brewer $71 million for about 30 months at the helm of the company — almost $2.4 million for every month she was there, or roughly $108,000 every weekday of the year, according to company securities filings

CEO pay disparity with the common worker’s income makes them the equivalent of plantation owners.

Let’s give her contract lawyer major props for that deal! Can’t be mad at her…the board/higher ups approved it 🤷🏽‍♂️

That's why majority of the CEOs sign a big contract when coming in and know they only have to do a good job for the first two years and then they will be kicked out. They actually want to get kicked out because they know they will make millions. And then another CEO comes in and the circle of CEO's coming and going continues until the company gets bought out or goes bankrupt.
