Step 1: Let's admit it, the Boots Alliance Healthcare merger (reverse take-over) was a complete failure. Boots has done nothing to help Walgreens, in fact the stock has only suffered since they merged. Dump them, go back to being a national company. International simply didn't work....stop letting them drag Walgreens down.
Step 2: Clean house - Remove the Roz regime that has literally cost this company countless numbers of top talented individuals. The number of 15+ year veterans who helped make the company great but have either been forced out or simply left to be treated better elsewhere is HUGE. Walgreens should be embarrassed by this, recognize just how damaging it has been to them, and stop the bleeding. Removing someone like Tracey Brown should be an immediate (and obvious) action to break the current cycle. Restore some faith in those who remain......the spiral spin downward has to stop.

@1kss+1q0A4b0r Steve Jobs would be terrible. Ron Johnson tried turning JCPenney into an apple store with streamlined technology and no cluttered sales pricing. It failed miserably. Exclusive Apple executive knowledge does not translate well into general merchandise that you can buy anywhere.
Wishful thinking. No turning back from this train wreak. Doesn’t matter who’s CEO, this company is toast. All the senior management personnel have no clue. Pessina fu---d sh-t up. It a piggy bank for him. You could bring back Steve Jobs from the dead to run it and won’t make a difference.
