…I hope everyone knows that the people at the bottom of 2U who didn’t destroy the company (admissions counselors, student advisers, placement people, all of us who worked directly with students) actually gave a fu-k about every student we talked to. We cared about their journey as we worked with them and we commiserated with them, cheered them on, believed in them, and actually wanted the best for each person. The people above us couldn’t have cared less.
If you’re someone in a 2U program or a faculty member, just know that there were people who actually cared and wanted this to be the best experience someone could have going to school. We loved being a part of a university with big plans and students who had big dreams. We wanted all of that for them. We cared so much, and as our resources to help students were depleted over and over, we tried so hard to make it perfect. It could have been a great thing, but greed and money were all that anyone at the top cared about. They took it all away from the students, who were the ones we were all here for in the first place. Chip is a coward and a fake. He doesn’t care about anyone getting the education and opportunities they need. He cared about making a bunch of money. Students getting what they needed was the last thing on his mind. FRAUD.
