Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Unpaid personal leave

Has anyone ever looked into or have taken 3 months unpaid personal leave? Was it hard to get approved? Was your job exactly the same when you came back? Other experiences or recommendations?

If doing to avoid getting laid off it won’t help. They laid off my co worker who was on FMLA and have stage IV cancer. So sweet of them

I took off a couple weeks. I had a hard time getting my doctors to give me FMLA. Now I am on a warning plan. Which is setting me up to fail. I wish they would just fire me!

If you are on the list you are on the list. Say for example you were already on unpaid leave they will save your slot for the next culling. Welcome back then oh su-ks sorry but goodbye. Oldest trick in the book.

You’ll still be laid off regardless of employment status believe it or not. Even says so on the Sparq site
