Congratulations, you are getting an extra 25 cents a hour for every hour worked in Q3. Are you a full time employee? Do you participate in the 401K program? Macy's stock was $16.33 a share on August 1st and it closed on Friday at $10.97 a share. That's a 16% percent drop in share value and most employees who are in the 401K program own Macy's stock.
Assuming you worked 40 hours a week for the entire quarter, you earned a $130 bonus. For every $1000 in Macy's stock you had in your 401K, you lost $160. How much do you have in your retirement plan? The PTG bonus program needs to be updated to reflect the inflationary increases that employees faces since the inception of the program. The payout scale of 25, 35, and 50 cents an hour isn't much of an incentive and ask yourself how many stores made the 50 cents payout (it was zero), and how many made the 35 cent payout (it was less then 10 stores), and less than half the stores made the meager 25 cent payout.
