Citi has thousands of MDs, 40 is a very small number.

They already laid off 40+ MDs. The MDs are now deciding how to structure the teams under them.

It won’t be Monday. Next week maybe, Monday no. Veterans Day floating holiday, many take it Friday but others take Monday off.

Also they generally don’t do big actions on a Monday. It would be later in the week.

Saw on articles that Chief of Staffs and CAO won’t exist anymore, Not sure about their teams though.

Next Monday as in Nov 13th?

Higher ups meaning MDs (C16)? Or it includes Directors (C15) as well?

What about SVPs (C14) and VPs (C13)?

Paranoid already

Totally with you on that; my buddies are all chilling because why work if you may be on that list. Or in some cases their managers don’t know what’s going on and too down - no book of work

Volunteers serve no purpose. Just like attrition without back filling doesn’t serve the purpose. They need specific roles and groups made redundant, not random people across any part of Citi.

I’m hearing next week but who knows. Don’t sweat what you can’t control.

The endless waiting has destroyed productivity and trust. Citi has mishandled the downsizing horribly. It will take years for workers to trust again. Citi could have asked for volunteers by offering retirement options but they are too cheap and instead decided to keep everyone guessing for 6 months. Poor vision and lack of forward thinking.
