Is this going to happen again?

We patiently wait for our turn, we all wonder who will be next, we all continue to do our jobs and wonder what for. The separation for the next group of layoffs is obvious. The people who will remain have been told and they are having difficulty keeping it quiet. They discuss new projects and changes that you know do not include you. They speak about the future of the business that does not include you. They are your coworkers and you want to be happy for them but now that they are aware of their future with Nielsen they have lost the compassion for their coworkers. Human nature or people just showing their true colors?
"Unfortunately, it's confirmed. Next round of Layoffs in the U.S. are coming again in April 2024 start of Q2" - source? Who confirmed it? When was it confirmed?

Helllo to all of my ex-coworkers. I was recently let go and have no received final paychecks. I was curious if anyone could give me a number for payroll. I haven’t found it in any of my paperwork and since I have no access to okta or my email I can’t log in to my employee portal to even get paystub info. I’ve emailed my HR person as well as my director but never received a reply.
TIA & best of luck to you all.
Best of luck to all of you.
I am taking for granted I am being laid off either in January of April, we all know it's the end anyways.
They should have had the decency to at least be transparent with that. Tell yourself it already happenned so you can stop obsessing and start a plan.
Working at our company is like being in a twisted reality show where the CEO thinks promoting women is the secret to keeping himself 'wet' - because nothing says business success like a personal water park, right? And our leadership team? They're like a bunch of failed professors who couldn't get tenure, probably because they were majoring in politics, gender studies, Russian literature, and the art of critique.
Their idea of increasing revenue is a bit like throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping it turns into dollar bills. But wait, there's more! Promotions here are like a family reunion - it's all about kinship and su-king up, not that outdated concept of hard work and merit. In fact, our employee handbook probably has a chapter on 'Mastering the Art of Brown-Nosing 101.' If you find yourself suddenly without a desk, don't worry, it's just our unique strategy for increasing the bottom line: firing people and hoping the office plants will pick up the slack. Welcome to Corporate Circus 101!
Unfortunately, it's confirmed. Next round of Layoffs in the U.S. are coming again in April 2024 start of Q2. DO NOT KICK YOUR FEET UP! Save your money.
Do not get caught off guard. PLEASE Save your Money and make cuts where you need to make them. Apply to Jobs starting Q1 and work both full-time jobs if you can. Do not quit! collect your severance. Specifically if you work in Streaming & Digital.
I've said enough. Best of Luck.
Historically, they wait til AFTER big holidays (like Xmas and Easter).
But who knows now with this soulless entity at the helm.
I wish someone could give you an answer, but everything would be speculation. Given that the current wave of redundancies is not even finished yet I cannot see another one starting this year though.
Yep, they told me they are going to fire you specifically, so you can stop obsessing and move on
