Additional CT layoffs POST August

Here is an article. An additional layoff not including the August layoff. Will occur 12/31. Looks like us Aetna employees will be effected. Mainly CT employees and the breakdown of positions is in the article. :(

please list the positions from WARN Notice, and don't create rumors.

Why are people getting worked up on these posts?? These are new additional layoffs that are part of the original 5000. What I don’t understand is why people are acting like this isn’t a big deal? These new layoffs are new announcements, therefore these employees are just now finding out that they will not have jobs after 12/31/2023. Getting familiar with WARN sites doesn’t tell us cr-p about what’s happening or what’s going to happen. I’m Illinois, they didn’t announce the laptops until after August. For October, they have additional layoffs from the August numbers. Stop fawking downplaying this, even if it’s only 7 jobs, that’s 7 livelyhoods, 7 families!

The layoffs going on through December 31st and possibly afterwards all part of the 5,000 figure communicated a couple of months ago. These are not additional headcounts on top of the 5,000. Familiarize yourself with the WARN notice counts and you will see when the layoffs were first announced in August the numbers totaled up nowhere near 5000.

The WARN notices are public data. Go on the internet and you can easily find ones for the states you're interested in. They include layoff dates and job titles.

Additionally, the people impacted by this article have already been notified. WARN notifications were sent to the state and the impacted employees were notified that day. This is part of the original 5,000 but the reason the article was published was because some senators felt there was a lack of transparency. The additional 76 people were added to the list and that upset some government type folks. I feel horrible for the impacted employees, but this isn't a surprise.

Why do people not read the articles they post? This is clearly stated this is part of the 5000 they announced.

The layoffs affecting the Hartford offices are part of a plan to cut about 5,000 positions across the company. Companywide, the job cuts primarily focus on corporate roles and equate to less than 2 percent of CVS' U.S. workforce of more than 300,000 people.
