Does anybody know why we got paid on Thursday rather than Friday? Is that a sign of upcoming layoffs?

We got paid on Thursday because Friday is veterans day observed so some banks may not be processing transactions and to prevent you from not getting your money till Monday ... They paid a day early.
Some companies, such as usaa, paid employees on tuesday evening…

Tomorrows a national holiday, banks are closed.
I think because Veterans day is observed tomorrow. Nothing to do with layoffs.
